Altar Boys

St. John Berchmans, born in 1599 in Belgium, is revered as the patron saint of altar boys for his exemplary devotion and service at the altar. From a young age, he demonstrated deep piety and a strong commitment to God, entering the Jesuit novitiate at 17. Known for his humility and obedience, he found particular joy in serving at Mass, viewing it as a sacred duty. His life exemplifies the virtues of dedication, reverence, and selflessness in the service of God, making him a cherished role model for altar servers worldwide.
